you changed someone's life this week.
and then spent the weekend fighting kajabi.

your practice runs on seven platforms that don't speak to each other. each one sends you a bill. each one holds a piece of your work hostage.

students who want to sign up for your class get sent through three different tools. your intake is a google form. your community is scattered across a whatsapp group, a substack, and an instagram DM thread you can't search.

you're using their platforms to build their platforms with your content. and your digital presence doesn't match the depth of your teaching — not even close.

you're a master at what you do. but right now you're also your own IT department, marketing team, and tech support.

IXwhy mech. 09 · four reasons

i'm the last technical
hire you'll ever need.

not a freelancer. not an agency. a single technical partner for the entire life of your practice. here's what makes that possible.

i. one replaces seven

one person replaces seven tools.

site, bookings, events, courses, community, email, payments. one person builds it, wires it together, and maintains it. no agency handoff where three specialists build three disconnected pieces. no vendor stack to audit. one human who knows every corner of your platform.

ii. ai-native

AI-native, not AI-afraid.

i build with AI as an instrument, not a gimmick. your platform gets smarter automations, personalized flows, and workflows that would take an agency weeks to estimate and quote — done in hours. this is why my rate is what it is.

iii. full ownership

you own everything.

your code, your data, your database, your domain, your email list. from the first commit. if you ever want to leave, you take it all with you and i hand over every credential without drama. no lock-in, no rent-seeking, no held-hostage content.

iv. decades, not projects

decades, not projects.

i don't do handoffs. i stay as your technical partner for as long as you want. your platform evolves with your teaching — new offerings, new geographies, new cohorts — without ever going through another "let's find a new developer" cycle. some people call this a fractional CTO. i just call it partnership.

✦ The Builder

the builder,
briefly.

senior full-stack engineer. former CTO. i spent a decade building production systems and leading engineering teams in startups you've probably heard of. then i moved to Mazunte, Oaxaca — a small village on the pacific coast of mexico — and started building for the people doing what i consider the most original and under-served work in the world: education, healing, ceremony, and community.

i live inside the same world my clients do. breathwork circles, cacao ceremonies, indigenous oaxacan traditions, plant medicine, sound, silence, early mornings with coffee and a journal, late nights with a terminal. i don't build for this world from the outside. i build from inside it.

the technical competence is old — a decade of shipping production systems — but the speed is new. i work with AI tools that let me move at a velocity that used to require a full team. and i charge a fraction of what an agency would because my overhead is a hammock, a satellite dish, and a cup of Oaxacan coffee.

i don't do sales calls. i don't send proposals. i find people whose work i respect, i build them something real, and i send them the link. if they like it, we work together. if not, they keep the build anyway.

— the principle

they were never separate processes. building and healing are the same service — listening on different ports.

XIIcommon questionsch. 12 · ten answers

things people ask.

answers to the questions that usually come up in the first email. if yours isn't here, it's the kind of thing we can discuss on a call.

because a freelance web developer builds websites. you don't need a website — you need a platform. seven tools replaced by one. a booking system that talks to your course system that talks to your email. most freelancers will build you a WordPress site and then disappear. i build production infrastructure and stay for the life of your practice.

you can. many people do. they're fine if you're starting out and have no audience. the problem shows up around month eighteen — when your practice has grown, your students need something real, and the templates can't hold the shape of what you're actually teaching. that's when clients come to me. i build the version two that those platforms can't become.

that's the practitioner tier — $1,500 setup, $250/mo. a beautiful, custom, fast site with bookings and payments. you can grow into schools or complex later without migrating off the platform. nothing gets rebuilt.

everything. every line of code, every database, every domain, every credential, your full email list, every student record. from the first commit. if you ever want to leave me, i hand over the keys and it takes one afternoon. no drama, no contracts, no lock-in.

hosting, domain, SSL, security updates, backups, uptime monitoring, AI infrastructure costs, minor content updates, bug fixes, and me — your technical partner on call. new offerings, features, or modules are scoped separately but always at my rate, not agency rate.

mostly, actually. clients in seventeen countries. the work is async-first — no timezone problems. i do two or three live calls per month per client, scheduled around sadhana or their morning practice, not mine. i work with your rhythm.

ten years of production engineering + AI-native workflows + no sales or project-management overhead. i don't write proposals. i don't do discovery sprints. i don't have standups. i just build. eight hours of deep work with AI assistance moves the needle the way five agency people can't in a week.

we iterate. first build in 48 hours, then up to two rounds of major revisions at no extra cost. if after that it's still not right, we part ways — you keep the build, i keep the learning, and we both move on. i've never had this happen in 170+ projects but the door is open.

rarely. the monthly partnership is how i can keep rates low and quality high. one-offs cost roughly double because the cost of context-switching is real. if you want one-off work, i'll usually refer you to someone.

that's normal. most clients come to me saying "i have a mess and i don't know what i need." send me the mess. i'll tell you what i see. if it's a fit we start; if it's not i'll point you somewhere else. the first conversation costs nothing.
